The downloads of Phantasmagoria are going through the roof around the web, and Phantasmagoria now has its biggest user base in Spain, the U.S, Brazil, Norway, Czech Republic, Mexico, Argentina, the U.K, Chile and Germany. That’s the top ten, with Spain having most downloads.
Now that means that there are languages that you guys want that Phantasmagoria currently does not support, as English and Norwegian are the only languages supported now. There are no employees at DevelDerby with sufficient knowledge in other languages, so translating into new languages is up to you.
Phantasmagoria reads all its text for the user interface from a text file included with its program files. To translate into a new language, you simply need to insert correct strings into a copy of this file. It’s simple, and you would help out lots of users.
Interested? Send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org, and we’ll send you all the info you need. Once you’re done, we’ll include support for the new language in the next version of Phantasmagoria, scheduled for release this summer.
So what are you waiting for? Translate today, and the Phantasmagoria experience will get even better!
